Global Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship (GEES) 2027

Driving Innovation Through Leadership and Entrepreneurship

The Global Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship is designed to support aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs, innovators, startup founders, business builders, and future business leaders who demonstrate strong potential to create meaningful impact through entrepreneurship.

The scholarship recognizes potential, innovation, leadership, vision, and impact—not age, nationality, or background.

Suggested Areas of Interest

Proposals may address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

The scholarship is open to individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and positive change.
  • An aspiring entrepreneur developing an innovative business idea;
  • A startup founder building an early-stage venture;
  • An entrepreneur operating an established or growing business;
  • An innovator developing a new product, service, technology, or business model;
  • A social entrepreneur addressing a community, social, or environmental challenge;
  • A business leader developing a new entrepreneurial initiative;
  • An individual preparing to take an entrepreneurial idea from concept to implementation.

Applicants from all countries, backgrounds, industries, and stages of entrepreneurial development are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should:
  • Demonstrate an interest or active involvement in entrepreneurship, innovation, or business.
  • Have an entrepreneurial idea, startup, business, social enterprise, innovation project, or demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential, initiative, creativity, or problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrate potential to create positive economic, social, environmental, or community impact.
  • Be motivated to learn, connect, collaborate, and contribute to the Global Leadership Forum.
  • Be available to participate in the Forum from 12–15 July 2027.
  • Complete and submit the scholarship application by the published deadline.
  • Agree to the scholarship's terms and conditions.

Applications will be evaluated based on merit and the applicant’s potential to benefit from and contribute to the Global Leadership Forum.

I.  Entrepreneurial Potential: The strength, feasibility, originality, and potential of the applicant’s business, entrepreneurial idea, or initiative.

II.  Innovation & Creativity: The applicant’s ability to demonstrate innovative thinking, creativity, problem-solving, or a new approach to an existing challenge.

III.  Leadership: Evidence of initiative, resilience, responsibility, leadership, and the ability to inspire or mobilize others.

IV.  Impact: The potential or demonstrated contribution of the applicant’s work to economic development, employment, social progress, environmental sustainability, or community development.

V.  Motivation & Forum Contribution: The applicant’s motivation for participating in the Forum and the knowledge, experience, and perspective they can contribute to the Forum community.

Selected scholarship recipients will receive:

I.   100% complimentary registration to the Global Leadership Forum on Business and Entrepreneurship 2027—an exclusive opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with global business and entrepreneurship leaders.

II.   Accommodation during the official Forum period, subject to the scholarship package, availability, and the terms of the scholarship award.

III.  Eligible scholarship recipients may receive up to 70% financial support toward approved transportation expenses within Canada, for travel to and from the Global Leadership Forum on Business and Entrepreneurship 2027 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

IV.   Transportation support is subject to the scholarship’s transportation policy, eligible travel expenses, funding limits, and applicable reimbursement requirements.

V.    International transportation to Canada is not included unless specifically stated in the recipient’s scholarship award.

I.   Entrepreneurship does not have an age limit.

II.  Innovation does not have a nationality.

III.  Leadership does not come from a particular background.

The Global Leadership Forum is committed to creating opportunities for entrepreneurs with different experiences, perspectives, industries, cultures, and entrepreneurial journeys.
